All conflicts are mired in controversy and none more so than the Israeli Palestinian. Israel, in order to justify the conquest of Palestine and the expulsion of its people and further portray itself as a bastion of democracy and  the frontier of Western civilization who is engaged in an existential conflict against extremism, used the most effective propaganda imaginable. Its unparalleled propaganda machine resorted to criminal fabrication and resorted to Orwellian 'doublespeak' to change victims to oppressors and oppressors to victims. As a consequence, the greatest victim in this conflict has been truth, knowing which will greatly improve our qest for peace and justice.

The historic plight of the Palestinians is of course a living proof against all the myths that have been allowed to persist. Furthermore, over the last twenty years in particular, a number of historians, including Israelis, have re-examined the events of the Nakba, and have provided irrefutable evidence of ethnic cleansing and other criminal acts committed against Palestinians.

The facts below will recount the events of the Nakba and dispel many of the myths that have arisen to justify Israeli colonisation and the forceful expulsion of Palestinians.
