Israeli forces handed a demolition order to a Palestinian home-owner in an East Jerusalem neighborhood on Tuesday, threatening to displace 10 people.
Muhammad Amira from Sur Bahir told Ma'an he received a court notice that his house would be demolished in one year unless he pays 15,000 shekels for allegedly building without a license.
Amira said he paid 80,000 shekels eight years ago to save his house from demolition, which was constructed more than 15 years ago.
East Jerusalem -- regarded as the capital of a future Palestinian state -- was seized by Israeli forces in an 1967 war, and later annexed in a move never recognized by the international community.
