Bill will turn Bedouin dispossession into Israeli lawA new bill seeks to turn the controversial Prawer Plan into Israeli law. If the Knesset passes the legislation, it will pave the way for Israel to step up its efforts to disposess the Negev's Bedouin and relocate them to impoverished townships. This bill has gone totally ignored by both local and international media

Bedouin protest the Prawer Plan, which will see 30,000 to 40,000 Bedouins transferred from their lands and relocated into townships. The Israeli cabinet approved the Prawer Plan in September of 2011. The Hebrew sign reads, "Yes to recognition; no to transfer.

Dozens of Palestinians Injured in Confrontations, Al-IssawiyahOn Tuesday, dozens of Jerusalemites were injured in confrontations with the Israeli soldiers who raided al-Issawiyah village, northeast of Jerusalem.
Eyewitnesses said to our reporter that whilst two Israeli soldiers obtained injuries; one to the foot and another to the shoulder, a Palestinian Youth was shot by a rubber bullet to his head, and dozens more Palestinians were hit by sound bombs and gas canisters, as well as rubber bullets.
Our reporter said that the confrontations started after the Israeli forces raided the village, and arrested Ayoub Baha' Obeid al-Omur, 20, after they attacked his house under the pretext that he threw stones towards Israeli soldiers.

A small but spirited group of Bedouin and Israelis demonstrated outside of the Jewish National Fund's Jerusalem offices on Sunday. The protesters, who numbered in the dozens, called for the JNF, a quasi-governmental organization, and the state of Israel to end discriminatory policies towards Bedouin residents of the Negev, including home demolitions and relocations.
